I think the chances of an independent scotland would outnumber the risks. It would be exchanging one set of risks for another one altogether anyway, as staying in the Union is by not riskfree in terms of EU, foreigen policy, etc. either.
Seeing the land is of plenty good people, with highly developed and succesfull sectors in finance, IT, alternative and conventional energy and so forth, I don’t see why it would not be able to provide for itself and manage a fair and balanced society on one of the most beautiful and fruitfull spots around.
I had planned on writing about tea and taxes earlier and promise to cover these touchy subjects in very near future.
